Final Fantasy 15 Review

Final Fantasy 15 (FF15), is open world RPG developed and published by Square Enix, and after many delays over the course of 10 whole years was finally released in November, 29, 2016. In 2013  FF15 was released under the name of Final Fantasy versus 13, a very confusing side of the Final Fantasy 13 universe, but only resulted in much confusion and disarray among fans. Some time in 2013 Final Fantasy versus 13 was replaced with the announcement of FF15’s arrival. FF15 didn’t have the much of the story or other game elements from previous Final Fantasy games and was a completely new game. FF15 even though was well accepted did fall short on some promises and lacked in the story department, many fans still connected with the characters as they could roam in the vast outside world in FF15.

You play as Noctis, the prince of the kingdom of Lucis, the game is set in the middle of a tense war between Lucis and Niflheim. So you and your friends set off to marry you off to princess lunafreya, otherwise known as the Oracle and is your childhood friend. But before you get there your home is attacked and your father the king of Lucis is reported dead, so your group heads out to find the royal arms of past kings to aid you in your quest to take back your home.

Gameplay wise, for FF15 prior knowledge of past Final Fantasy games is not necessary to enjoy and understand this game, because it is a completely new game from the other Final Fantasy series. Throughout your time playing FF15 you will be able and or required to do a variety of things such as exploring many dungeons, side quests to upgrade your weapons or regalia, and many more. Overall what makes this game so wonderful is the open world take on it while the game does have a story and required bosses to progress with the main story you can take breaks be taking on the many many side quests that are readily available everywhere, in towns, cities, fishing spots, everywhere. So through your playthrough you should feel free to take as much time as needed to truly enjoy, understand, and appreciate this game to the fullest. All of this things are optional and by no means whatsoever are you obligated to try and finish all of these things but doing so will prove to be beneficial to you later on in the game when you may find that things are much harder and simple things and abilities aren’t available to you due to lack of ap points.

AP point are things that you collect by doing side quests or simple things like driving in the car for long distances. Ap points help you with everything and without them you will not get every far or be able to defeat most enemies and will find yourself having to heal a lot. You buy abilities, team skills, combat skills and, many other types with AP point which is why they are so important for you to have because there is no other way to acquire new abilities, and if you have ever played a RPG before you know it is very difficult to beat bosses with beginner moves. But feel free to do anything however you want at your own pace. The game does assist you with everything that you can and have to do by having you main objective and side quests readily available for you to see, and before you enter a long part in the game where you may not be able to be in a open world for a period of time to keep you on the main story but you can decline this message and continue in the open world but you do have to complete the main story in order to progress. In short I highly recommend that  you play FF15 for its open world take on the Final Fantasy series, intriguing and fun gameplay that keeps you engaged throughout the game whether you are completing side quests or progressing throughout the story to and ending that will surprise you FF15 is a great game that is worth spending your time on.
