After ditching the Nexus programe Google decided to create their own own phone and name it Pixel on October 4th, 2016. The name came from what Google wanted their phone to beat every other flagship in, camera. The Pixel originally lacked in many subjects that flagship phones succeeded in, as well as having a older smartphone look making it less appealing to buyers. But the Pixel 2 changed the whole game. With nearly twice the sales, and a total 3.9 million Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL were sold in 2017 even though the Pixel 2 series arrived on October 4th, 2017. Totalling a market revenue of  3.3 billion. Even though this number is pretty small compared to the millions of IPhones sold every day, Google is heading in the right direction for sure. Now all that matters are the specs. The Pixel 3 should be expected to release October 4, 2018 since October 4 was the same day in 2016 and 2017 that the Pixel 1, XL and Pixel 2, XL. Currently the Pixel 2 XL is a pretty good comparison to the IPhone X. But still, Apple has always had more fans. If the Pixel 3 can manage to blow away all of Apples audience then for sure Google may be able to compete with the other big phones in the market such as the s9 or the X. Google has already been excelling in other subjects such as there self driving car and other things you wouldn’t expect a search engine company would produce.
